Shaded Profit is back at it with a driven single titled “Outsider.” This album combines a raw lyrical flow with soaring beats, tipping the hat off to the best contemporary rap, and some of that old-school warmth as well.
The songs on “Outsider” have a lot of great dynamics to it, making for a balanced, direct tone. Shaded Profit’s the lyrical delivery matches intensity of this instrumental to perfection.
This release is reminiscent of artists as diverse as Jay Z, Kanye West, J Cole, or Logic, only to name a few. It’s really all about the attitude, and “Outsider” makes it clear from the get-go: this is not an album that gets stuck in the ordinary cliches of the genres, and as a result, you can expect to be blown away by the insightful content of the lyrics and by the sheer sound of this album. There is a lot of grit, giving the tracks a very “essentialistic” vibe, which bonds well with the flow of the vocals.
