“Coupe” is a brand new hip-hop single from Stephh Versace, a rap artist with a unique voice and a lot to say. What’s unique about her tonality is that her voice is bright and melodic, often reminiscent of singers like Rihanna. However, her attitude is something that goes back to the best old-school hip-hop, making me think of legendary artists such as Missy Elliott, as well as Jay Z, and even A Tribe Called Quest, just to name a few.
“Coupe” begins with some dark, heavily affect string synth tones, and dive deeper into a trap-inspired beat, which has a modern and direct feel. This track is really all about the attitude, and the release boasts massive grooves for days, giving the listeners a taste of Stephh’s upfront and no-frills vocal flow. She uses words like razorblades, and she sure can cut through the mix without being overpowered by the music!
